Qualifications
Essential: Bachelors’ of Engineering or Technology (Mechanical/Chemical)
Desired: Post graduation from NICMAR or equivalent, PMP certification.

Experience:

1. 25+ years of experience in project planning & cost controls function and related automation tools, in sectors such as Refinery, Petrochemical, Fertilizer, Oil & Gas and Energy.

Accountability:

1. Provide inputs in creating overall RPMG strategy and create roadmap for Project Controls function, ensuring adherence to overall objectives and goals
2. Manage end-to-end execution of project controls roadmap in alignment with the defined operating model
3. Establish a robust and reliable cost estimation process that lays foundation for accurate and informed decision-making during project budgeting; Provide different estimation classes for approvals at different project stages
4. Convert cost estimates into control budgets, post approval from management, that serves as a financial plan for execution for a cluster of projects
5. Support implementation of new automation tools to generate various MIS reports and provide critical inputs that support EC decision making.
6. Focus on building a competent and capable team and allocate tasks based on individual skillsets across cluster of projects to effectively manage the project controls function
7. Lead implementation of digitized systems depending on the nature and size of projects
8. Oversee end-to-end execution of cost and schedule management program for cluster of projects in line with project scope, regulatory, safety and quality norms
9. Monitor process, tools and platforms for integrated schedules, costs and cash flows based on the scope of work for cluster of projects in line with governance and overall objectives
10. Ensure consistency in preparation of WBS, CBS, all levels of schedule & costs, forecasting outcomes, integration across Engineering, Procurement & Construction databases
11. Lead the cost and schedule estimates for various reviews and ensure transition to control budgets
12. Establish consistent monitoring of project progress and cost through the established governance processes across the project lifecycle
13. Establish process for re-baselining of project schedule and cost
14. Guide and provide resolution on complex project controls issues and concerns to the Project Controls team as and when necessary
15. Provide inputs in the process of gathering relevant information and recording lessons learnt from past projects.
