Qualification & Experience

1. Master’s / PhD in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or related Deep-Tech domains.
2. 25+ years of experience across R&D services, analytical sciences, catalysis, IP, or technology management.
3. Demonstrated experience managing multi-disciplinary scientific services supporting materials, chemicals, energy, or petrochemicals R&D.
4. Proven track record in building centralized R&D capabilities (analytical, catalysts, IP, governance, BD).
5. Strong exposure to regulatory compliance, biosafety, laboratory operations, and technology commercialization ecosystems.

Accountability:

1. Lead IP strategy, portfolio management, and FTO to protect and maximize R&D outputs.
2. Govern R&D budgets, CAPEX, safety, and regulatory compliance across labs and pilot plants.
3. Deliver advanced analytical services, method development, and root-cause analysis for R&D and operations.
4. Provide catalyst design, testing, optimization, and Deep Tech–driven innovation support.
5. Identify commercialization opportunities and forge partnerships for technology deployment and licensing.
6. Conduct market, techno-economic, and feasibility assessments to guide R&D prioritization and value creation.

Skills:

1. Expertise in IP management, analytical sciences, catalysis, and technology governance.
2. Deep understanding of materials, chemicals, refinery, and emerging Deep Tech areas.
3. Strong leadership in laboratory operations, biosafety, compliance, and R&D infrastructure.
4. Ability to guide commercialization, partnerships, and market-led R&D development.
5. Strong stakeholder management, communication, and cross-functional partnership skills.
