Qualification & Experience

1. Bachelor’s/ Master’s / PhD in Chemical Engineering
2. 25+ years of deep technical experience across technology with exposure to APC/RTO, Process Automation, Simulation & Advanced Modelling
3. Strong experience in defining technical standards, methodologies, and reference architectures for complex, asset-intensive environments.
4. Demonstrated leadership of first-of-a-kind (FOAK) technologies and advanced technical deployments.
5. Experience operating as an enterprise design authority, influencing outcomes without direct line ownership.
6. Exposure to digital platforms, AI/analytics, IT-OT convergence, and cybersecurity-aware engineering.

Accountability:

1. Develop strategic roadmaps for Functional Expert domains, aligned with enterprise priorities, future technologies, and capability needs.
2. Own and govern enterprise-level standards, methodologies, and reference architecture across technical disciplines.
3. Develop reusable models, toolkits, and digital assets to scale expert knowledge and improve speed and quality of execution.
4. Solve high-complexity and cross-division technical problems, acting as the enterprise escalation point for systemic issues.
5. Lead first-of-a-kind (FOAK) deployments, transitioning validated solutions into division-led implementation at scale.
6. Act as technical authority for design reviews, deviations, high-risk changes, and critical investment decisions.
7. Build, curate, and institutionalize knowledge repositories and best practices, ensuring continuity, reuse, and organizational learning.
8. Own program-level and enterprise license management for specialist tools, simulators, and expert platforms.
9. Partner with IT and OT teams to ensure cybersecurity, IRM, and data governance requirements are embedded in technical solutions by design.

1. Deep technical credibility across one or more core disciplines, with the ability to integrate across functions.
2. Strong expertise in technical governance, assurance frameworks, and risk-based decisioning.
3. Ability to convert expert judgment into scalable standards, playbooks, and digital assets.
4. Experience leveraging AI copilots, simulation models, digital twins, and analytics to augment expert effectiveness.
5. High influence and stakeholder management capability across R&D, Manufacturing, Digital, IT/OT, and Business leadership.
