Qualification & Experience

1. Master’s / PhD in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or Computational Sciences with strong grounding in transport phenomena and reaction engineering.
2. 25+ years of experience in advanced modeling, reactor engineering, and scale-up for refining, petrochemical, chemical, or energy processes.
3. Demonstrated expertise in high-fidelity CFD, multiphase flow, heat & mass transfer, and reactive flow modeling.
4. Proven track record of supporting technology development, pilot-to-commercial scale-up, debottlenecking, and brownfield revamps.
5. Experience acting as an independent technical authority for high-risk, high-value process decisions.
6. Strong exposure to process simulators, CFD platforms, digital twins, and model-based decision frameworks.

Accountability:

1. Apply high-fidelity CFD and flow simulations to predict, diagnose, and improve equipment and process performance across reactors, separators, heat exchangers, and complex flow systems.
2. Develop and maintain reactor kinetic models for licensed and in-house technologies, supporting design, optimization, and operating envelope definition.
3. Support technology development, scale-up, debottlenecking, and revamp projects, providing deep technical insights from concept through implementation.
4. Provide independent expert validation for critical process design, scale-up, and modification decisions, reducing technical and execution risk.
5. Enable faster and safer commercialization by integrating modeling, experimentation, and operating feedback into robust scale-up and deployment strategies.

Skills:

1. Deep expertise in CFD, reaction engineering, and scale-up methodologies.
2. Strong understanding of multiphase flow, heat and mass transfer, turbulence, and reactive systems.
3. Ability to translate complex simulations and models into actionable engineering decisions.
4. Experience leveraging digital twins, AI-assisted modeling, and advanced analytics to enhance predictability and reduce time-to-market.
5. High credibility in design reviews, technical assurance forums, and leadership decision processes.
6. Strong collaboration skills across R&D, Manufacturing, CTS, EPCs, and Operations teams.
