Job Purpose: The Role will lead and build worldwide sales teams that secure clients in existing & new target markets, Skilled at developing & executing sales strategies, negotiating contracts, and managing long-lasting customer relationships. The role holder will lead the Sales function for all revenue streams of TTL covering products, spares, services, and refurbishment, for domestic & international markets. He will formulate and implement. Business Development Strategies and Sales Plans to Achieve/exceed planned Order Booking and the Profit Margin (on OB), enhance our market presence (Increase in Market Share) ensuring sustainable growth and contributing to the overall business plan of the company. The dimension of the role will be a volume of ~30 billion INR. Building the Triveni Brand is a key deliverable for this role.
Educational Qualification:
- Engineering Degree or equivalent
- Masters’ degree in Business Administration or equivalent will be preferred
Work Experience
Minimum 20+ years of professional experience of which last 3-5 years in a similar capacity in a Lead position in a large industrial or capital equipment manufacturing organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead implementation of key initiatives in line with the long- and short-term Sales strategy for both New Equipment & After-market as aligned to TTL’s business strategy.
- Plan, align and seek approval of CEO for annual budget and own the budget for New Equipment & Service Portfolio; Drive the order booking and Sales Margins as per plan.
- Scan external environment, engage with external market research agencies to gather market insights; assess competitive scenarios and identify key focus areas (for e.g. new product release, market penetration, technology upgrade, etc.) to analyze trends and identify business challenges and opportunities to enter/strengthen the presence across all geographies.
- Drive the team to identify products, solutions and services that fit our international audiences’ needs best, keeping track of both regional and global market trends, and maintaining relationships with partners and clients abroad. Drive the team to achieve break-through in new customer segments.
- Develop and execute programs to drive customer value, increase business across all geographies, build & maintain relationship; and Drive customer negotiations for ensuring strategic wins, keeping cost & profitability targets in mind. Monitor regional and global market trends and perform competitor research to find new opportunities for growth. Similarly, the incumbent should be able to assess the customers’ key attributes, identify, build and retain key agents/partners across the globe.
- Collaborate with Technology and provide strategic inputs related to product design and development, sharing insights on emerging customer requirements and turbine technologies
- Engage with key clients for relationship management of strategic accounts; interact regularly with key customers and business partners through various forums to ascertain industry trends, customer needs and concerns, and identify possible business development opportunities.
- Regular review for the opportunities/potential of the all the orders/projects, ensure timely availability of resources to the team, intervene to clear bottlenecks, if any, seek management guidance where necessary, to ensure the conversion of the potential/opportunities into a confirmed sales orders conforming to profitability margins.
- Conduct ongoing risk assessment and mitigation for all large value/ critical / strategic projects, direct corrective actions as and when required to ensure the opportunities are not missed.
- To hire and motivate exceptional/good international sales personnel and built an effective team with our existing sales personnel. Need to adapt new outlook and change in approach to train, orient, groom, guide and coach the sales team for staying successful in new environment.
- Plan/review workforce requirements including key positions, acquire/develop to ensure availability of competent workforce, implement actions for strengthening leadership pipeline and succession for key positions, drive high performance culture and guide implementation of the program for employee retention.
